VISION
We envision New Life Midway helping to bring transformation to thousands of lives in Chicago and beyond.
We plan on raising an army of change agents, youth on fire for God, next generation leaders, men of courage and women of virtue.
We dream of building a spiritual powerhouse that blesses the surrounding communities, breaking cycles and starting new legacies in thousands of lives in Jesus name.
We invite you to be a part of it.

What will our 2nd phase accomplish?
In 2013 we explained our expansion project this way:
“If we collect 1 million we can complete several vital expansion projects. That would be amazing. If we collect 2 million we can complete the majority of the projects presented. That would be extra-ordinary. If we collect 3 million we can complete all the projects of our expansion. That would be miraculous.”
We collected 1,150,000 which allowed us to accomplish a good portion of our building expansion and upgrade.
How much money do we anticipate raising?
To complete the projects that we would like to finish we anticipate conservatively it will cost 1.5 million. This would include paying the remainder of the first phase of expansion and completing projects:
Building Expansion to Be Completed:
- Build a Youth Center
- Build a Multi-Purpose Chapel
- Build a Vision/Prayer Room
- Finish Spanish Auditorium
- Finish the outside building to be attractive destination

Our History
How did we buy our current building at 51st and Keeler?
In 1999 we engaged in a campaign called Building To Bless in which we raised 1 million dollars to purchase our current building. After months of searching and intense negotiations we were able to strike a deal to purchase our current 84,000 square foot building for 2 million dollars. We put $400,000 as a down payment and used the remaining $600,000 to start construction.
What has happened since we have been in this building?
- We have grown from an average of 550 to 1500 at Midway worship services.
- We have baptized almost 1500 people in this building.
- We have double the amount of children we work with weekly.
- We started a non-for-profit called New Life Centers that focuses on mentoring at risk youth with 35 people on staff.
- We started Straight Talk daily radio program that has thousands of listeners weekly.
- We have helped launch 15 more New Life Congregations in Chicago.
- We have helped start 7 New Life congregations in other cities around the world.
- We have started running a 19 acre camp in Michigan called Pine Trail that we are using to minister to youth and families.
We have seen God do some amazing things over the last 13 years we have been in this building. We firmly believe that the greatest miracles, strongest stories and most significant impact are still coming. We are inviting you to be a part of helping us SEE THE CHANGE!
